Friendly Pet Pals

Meet Michelle...

My name is Michelle; I live in the Grandin area with my two dogs Belle and Lucy. I have been living in Roanoke for eight years transplanted from the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. I am an Early Childhood Special Educator for the city schools. I am also a Reiki practitioner for humans and pets.

I have 20 plus years of experience of pet sitting here in Roanoke and Vermont. I even had the opportunity in Vermont to do some farm sitting, which was a great experience. I look forward to providing the best of care to your furry members of the family. In my spare time I read, walk, hike, and spend time with friends.

Meet Tracey...

Hello! My name is Tracey and I am a Roanoke native who has had a pet family since I was a little girl. I can't imagine a daily life without the unconditional love of a pet. My fabulous K9 Kayla and I have been together since 2004 when I found her at the RVSPCA at six months old. I'm familiar with and have owned cats, dogs, fish, chickens, and horses. I always wanted to add hamsters to the list but my parents never gave in. One day I hope to have enough room for a few more dogs and some pygmy goats.

I'm a graduate of Hollins University, and professional pet lover of Pet Pals. I love to read, travel, relax, spend time with friends and off-road in my 4x4, Kayla as the co-pilot. Of course, in addition to giving all my love to the pets in my life!

Meet Lynsey...

Hello! My name is Lynsey. I have lived the Roanoke the majority of my life and love it here. I am married and have 2 children. As part of our family we also have Gus, German/Australian Shepherd mix, and two kitties (sisters) Baloo and Chessie, or as my son would say, Chessie Kitten for short. He named her after a famous train.

I graduated from Roanoke College and am currently working on obtaining my Masters in Education to teach special education. I love animals, and I love kids, so naturally I love what I do. I work at a church nursery along with working for Pet Pals. I have worked for Pet Pals going on almost five years now, and I have loved every bit of it. I love meeting and building new relationships with pets all over the city! I thank you for sharing a little bit of your families with me.

Meet Susan...

Hey! My name is Susan and I live in the Roanoke area. I completed both my BS and MS degrees at Radford University. I teach Early Childhood Special Education full-time in Bedford County Public Schools. I love working for Pet Pals part-time. I have loved dogs since I was a little girl. I have met lots of wonderful pet friends. I think of them as my babies until their families return. My favorite breed is the Great Dane, which is a hoot 'cause I'm only 4'11" tall and 110 lbs. I think to be a great pet sitter you really have to know each pet's personality. I have a Shih tzu named Shani. She has glaucoma and is also mostly blind. I know what it is like to have a pet with special needs. We love them all.

Meet Carol...

Hi! My name is Carol and I live in the Grandin area. I went to Radford University for both my BS and MS degree and I currently teach secondary social studies in Roanoke County. I have two wonderful mixed pups, one is a senior border collie mix and is 17 1/2 years old. The other one is a new addition to our family and is only 9 months old. We have no idea what she is... a true Heinz 57! I also have two gorgeous, full of personalities and sweet kitties. Both Luca and Max have been with me for a couple of years. I have been pet sitting for Pet Pals for several years now and enjoy visiting all the pets and looking after them until their families return home.
